The mission of the Denton Community Food Center (DCFC) is to provide food on a temporary basis for families who are in emergency situations.  You may come to the Food Center four (4) times in one year.  We request that you have an official ID (driver's license, Social Security, school/picture ID) for everyone in your household.  If this is your first visit, you may get food without ID for everyone, but we request on your second visit you have the ID's.  If you do not bring the ID's, your food may be limited to only those individuals for whom you have an ID.

How It Works...

You will receive "Units" of food determined by the interviewer based upon the number and ages of people using the food.  We urge you to pace your visits.  You do not want to use your 4 visits in a short time.  The interviewer will review each of your previous visits with you.

Who We Are...

The Denton Community Food Center is a non-profit agency.  All of the workers are volunteers.  The churches, schools, organzations and individuals in the community donate the food you receive.  Money contributed to the Center is used to buy food.
